Joh Barwise

John Barwise is a former BBC Environment
Correspondent. He is a certified Environmental
Auditor and associate member of the Institute of
Environmental Management and Assessment.
John was Head of Environmental Policy and
Research at the University of Surrey before
taking up the BBC post. He is consultant editor
for a number of environmental publications and
writes regularly on environmental issues.

the National Cycling Strategy Board with a

Professor David Begg

Chairman of the Commission for Integrated Transport and
Non-Executive Director of the Manchester Passenger Transport
Executive. He is Chairman of the National Transport Advisory
Group, a Non-Executive Director for the Shadow Strategic
Rail Authority, Transport for London and British Railways
Board. He is Director of The Centre for Transport Policy
at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and advised the
Government during the preparation of the Integrated Transport
White Paper and the Transport 10 Year Plan.

Environmental Assessment of Local Transport
Plans and Regional Transport Strategies at the
University of Manchester, on behalf of Transport
Research Laboratory (TRL). Monica has a
masters degree in Environmental Sustainability
and has worked for the Norwegian oil industry
and as a research associate at both the
University of Edinburgh and the University of
Glasgow.
